Custom Deck Builders
We’re passionate about decks because nothing utilizes a backyard living space better than a well-built deck.
An Austex deck is a practical solution to an unruly lawn, a sloped yard, erosion and running water. But it is also an extension of your indoor living space and a well-designed setting for relaxing, dining or entertaining.
Our Promise
We use the highest quality materials in all our projects, and we partner with you to design and build based on your needs, budget and desired look.
A properly designed Austex deck will:
Types of Decks We Build
Ipe Decks
Ipe is a very attractive, high-quality hardwood and the finest-quality decking material available because it is extremely dense and tight-grained. Generally deep rich brown in appearance with some red- and amber-hued accents, Ipe is stronger than other decking woods and has the highest rating for insect and decay resistance. Most notably, this incredibly hard wood does not require finishing and will not deteriorate over time as other woods do.
Cedar Decks
Cedar wood is well-suited for decks and outdoor stairs. Naturally decay-resistant, lightweight, easy to work with and complementary to any architectural style, cedar holds up well in the intense Central Texas sun. Although it will gray over time if not stained every couple of years, cedar is not prone to cracking and splintering, unlike treated pine decks.
Redwood Decks
Redwood offers beauty, longevity and easy maintenance. At Austex Fence and Deck, we work only with virgin timber so our nation’s old growth redwood forests will remain untouched. The beauty, durability and exceptional dimensional stability of Redwood makes it a good choice for intricately crafted outdoor applications. Redwood will gray over time if not stained.
Composite Decks
Composite decking, made of wood-polymer lumber, is an outstanding and “family-friendly” alternative to conventional deck wood. Splinter-, stain- and sealant-free, with excellent traction even when wet, composite decking is free of the drawbacks of wood and easy on the environment. It also gives you the confidence and the protection of a 25-year limited-transferable warranty.
